First Choice Family Services Inc. is dedicated to providing specialized out-of-home care and behavioural support services for children, youth, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dual diagnoses, and complex behavioural and mental health needs. We specialize in supporting individuals who are challenging to place and those who have experienced significant placement breakdowns.
Through a trauma-informed approach, our supported living homes provide a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where individuals receive 24-hour staffed supervision and support tailored to their unique needs.

First Choice Family Services Inc. provides staff-supported accommodations in home-like settings for people of all ages. Our specialized supported living homes offer 24-hour staffing and individualized supports, designed to address behavioural, emotional, social, and daily living needs through a multidisciplinary and trauma-informed approach.

Specialized Out-of-Home Care
24-hour staffed homes for individuals who are challenging to place or have experienced placement breakdowns, with low-ratio supports for complex, high-risk needs.

Clinical Intervention / Stabilization of Placement
Short-term, intensive 1:1 support focused on stabilizing a placement or supporting a planned transition to another level of care.

- Intensive 1:1 treatment with clear, time-limited goals

Who we serve
Our out-of-home care program provides 24-hour staffed supports in therapeutic home settings for individuals who need specialized supervision, behavioural intervention, and daily living skill development.
Referrals are welcome for children, youth, and adults of all genders, with or without developmental disabilities. We support individuals with autism, dual diagnoses, complex mental health and behavioural needs, and those who are challenging to place or have experienced placement breakdowns.
